Philip Rivers showed plenty of poise and confidence in getting the San Diego Chargers their 5th win of the season today in Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City.
Arrowhead represents the old NFL according to Rivers. He was looking forward to making the trip to the Chiefs stadium and he didn’t disappoint Chargers fans either.
Rivers out gunned the Chiefs defense to find the winning touchdown pass with only 24 seconds left on the clock. He performed like a por bowl caliber quarterback in the game.
Rivers completed 27 of the 39 passes he threw for 392 yards and 3 touchdowns. He looked the fierce Chiefs defense right in the eyes and delivered the fatal blow that would hand the Chiefs only their second loss of the season.
Rivers is playing well this season. He faced two tough teams over the past few games and he did what he could do to get wins. The Chargers may not a shot this season, at making the play offs but they are making the statement they are back and they are playing the kind of Chargers football that once had this team on the top of the standings.
Rivers did a great job and he continues to show, he can get the job done.
