After shooting rounds of 70 & 71, Phil Mickelson finds himself in danger of missing the cut at the Honda Classic. Mickelson must still be struggling with back problems. From him not to find a low score on a course where others are going low, is something of a concern.

Phil struggled to get to one over par in his second round today and yesterday looked like a struggle for him to get to even par. The hole that is going to come back to haunt him will be the 16th where he made a double bogey in his second round. He made only one other bogey and that was on the par 4 11th.

He did manage to find 2 birdies, but it could be a little too late with the projected cut being at even par.

In round one, Phil only had one bogey and it came on the par 3 7th .

This is not how Mickelson wanted to start the Florida swing. He will at least have time to rest his injured back and maybe he can find some more game before his next event. It is always nice to see Phil on the weekend, but he could be closing in on the days of making less and less weekend appearances.

Only time will tell.
