Patrick Rodgers was moving right along on Saturday also known as ” moving day” at the John Deere Classic, and ended up at 3 under par for his round. The 68 was solid but he has a lot of guys nipping at his heels.

16 under par after 3 rounds is a really nice score but the TPC DEERE RUN course can bring some low scores!

Tied for second are 2 guys that can prove my point I just made. Daniel Berger fired a spectacular 8 under par 63 to move within 2 shots of the lead.

Also 2 away is Scott Stallings who fired a 7 under par 64 today. It will not surprise me is someone a few shots out actually wins tomorrow.

It wasn’t that many years that Paul Goydos shot a 59.

Let one of the big boys get hot and all bets are off. We will definitely see over 20 under par and the winner will be from the top five after today.

Personally I hope the thrill of wanting to play in the British Open will be enough to carry Pat Rodgers to his first career win.

Not sure if you heard or not but the John Deere Corporation has leased a huge jet to fly everybody who has earned a spot and needs a ride.

Wow why didn’t I play more golf as a kid. This is really the life!

It sure was fun today watching the Scottish Open and seeing Padraig Harrington with his new follow thru and Ricky Fowler playing so good.

Rick has won this tournament before. What he needs is a MAJOR! He is my absolute favorite player who needs a Major in the worst way.

He is good in that crummy weather across the pond but I am not really sure he will be able to do it this year.

I look forward to him playing the PGA. It just seems to me like that could be his first Major. Only time will tell. We will all be watching closely.

Enjoy Sunday……….it will be a fun day for golf!
