Geno Smith and his 3 & 2 New York Jets take on the 0-4 Pittsburgh Steelers in week 6. Smith and his Jets aren’t getting the respect they deserve. The odds makers only favor the Jets by 1-point.

They must think the bye week was just what the Steelers needed. They haven’t won a game all season and the defense is faced with the task of stopping Geno Smith. Smith has played will in his rookie season and he continues to show the kind of confidence he came to the Jets with.

When Smith was drafted by the Jets he said he would lead them to the play-offs this season. After just 5 games it is far too early to talk play-offs and Jets in the same sentence, but he won in Atlanta and that had to be a huge boost to his already running on high confidence level.

Geno Smith has completely out played Roethlisberger this season. Smith is ranked 14 in stats and Big Ben is ranked just below him at 15th.  Smith may not have the experience that Ben has but he certainly has a lot of heart to win.

The Jets have to be cautious with the win less Steelers this Sunday, they want to win and they are going to pour in in New York. The one thing Smith has in his favor is his ability to run. If the Steelers defense can’t control Smith, the Jets will come away with their 4th win of the season.
