First there were law suits about concussions to deal with, now Roger Goodell has to meet with the New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman over sexual orientation questions that allegedly took place during the NFL combine in Indianapolis.

Schneiderman, has stated any type of questions like that are against the law in New York. He wants to have a meeting with commissionaire Goodell as early as next week. he expects Goodell to call him by next Wednesday to set up the meeting.

You may recall soon after the NFL combine was over, Nick Kasa  came forward accusing his interviewer at the combine of asking him if he liked girls. The former tight end said he was asked the question by a team official at the combine and wouldn’t say what team it was. Now, the NFL is coming under investigation from the New York Attorney Generals office.

The teams in the NFL are expected to follow applicable federal, state and local employment laws, asking about ones sexual orientation is a clear violation of those laws. The collective bargaining agreement with the players that prohibit discrimination against any player, including on the basis of sexual orientation.

If the NFL is guilty of asking players about their sexual orientation, they could also be guilty of discrimination when it comes to drafting a particular player. The New York Attorney General isn’t taking this lightly. Goodell and the NFL are going to be expected to answer a lot of questions and the investigation is going to get under way next week.

If Roger Goodell thought he had problems with the concussion cases, he hasn’t seen nothing yet. This is about to get very interesting. Stay tuned to USA Sports 360 for all your breaking news….
