New England Tight End Aaron Hernandez may have some real problems. Hernandez is no longer cooperating with the police in the investigation, he has hired the Boston law firm of Ropes and Gray. Fox news is reporting, that forensic evidence places a vehicle driven by Hernandez at one of the crime scenes in this case.
The car was rented in Hernandez’s name and it was found very close to where the body of homicide victim was found. Hernandez was cooperating with the police in the ongoing investigation and that all came to an end. Hernandez has yet to be named as a suspect in the case.
Not naming him doesn’t let him off the hook. Police could be making sure they have all the evidence in place before they file charges in the case. The victim was reported to be killed execution style. Hernandez had ties to the guy because he was dating Hernandez’s girlfriends sister.
Michael Fee, an attorney at the firm of Ropes and Gray released this statement;
“It has been widely reported in the media that the state police have searched the home of our client, Aaron Hernandez, as part of an ongoing investigation,” it read. “Out of respect for that process, neither we nor Aaron will have any comment about the substance of that investigation until it has come to a conclusion.”
It may be only a matter of time until we hear of some charges being filed. Hernandez better have a good excuse for being in the car.
