Max Scherzer remains undefeated this season. He pitched another great game for the Tigers against the Indians last night. Scherzer pitched 8 solid innings, he gave up 5 hits and 4 runs on his way to his 5th win on the season. He worked 8 good innings striking out 7 hitters.

Scherzer is having a great season so far. He has a 3.61 ERA and 61 strike outs to go along with his 5 wins in 2013. If he continues to pitch the way he is, the Tigers may have to consider giving him a raise. After the contract they gave Verlander, he may be thinking he is next in line to receive a huge chunk of money.

The Tigers beat the Indians 10-4 to get their 2oth win on the season. They shut down a pretty darn good Indians offense on their way to scoring 10 runs against a not so good Indians pitcher. Tonight the Tigers will send the mighty Verlander to the mound.

Cleveland is going to be hard pressed to come away with a win against him. Detroit could easily come away from this game with their second win in this series. Verlander is going to need his good stuff tonight. This Indians team doesn’t like to lose and they usually come back big after a loss. Doing that against Verlander may not be so easy.
