Marc Leishman hit the perfect storm today at the BMW Championship. He was paired with Rickie Fowler, one of the nicest guys on tour, and had a wonderful round of golf.

It never hurts when the two caddies in the last round are best friends too.

Mark Leishman and Rickie Fowler went around the golf course like the touring pros they both are and each one calmly rolled in putt after putt.

They both tied today with -4 under par rounds of 67, finishing just how they started.

You could not help but feel a little sorry for Rickie. Had he finished in sole 2nd place, he would have finished in the top 5 in Fed Ex Cup standings.

Going into East Lake CC in Atlanta next week, any of the top five players, with a win next week automatically win the $10,000,000 and Fed Ex Cup trophy.

Rickie ended up tied for second right along with Justin Rose who shot a -6 under par 65. Not to be too concerned though, he has to play great next week, just like Rory McIlroy last year who went into the final tournament in 6th place……he won the Fed Ex Cup.

That is what Rickie Fowler is looking to do. We wish him well!!

The top five with Fed Ex Cup points are #1 Jordan Spieth, #2 Justin Thomas, #3 Dustin Johnson, #4 Marc Leishman, & #5 Jon Rahm. Wow it was back and forth between Rahm and Fowler, who ended up in 6th place!

After Fowler we have Matsuyama, Rose, Koepka, Casey, Perez, Kuchar, Hoffman, Berger, Day, Simpson, Vegas, Kisner, Chappell, Harman, Hadwin, Stanley, Reed, Finau, Garcia, Schauffele, Henley, Woodland, Cantlay, & Dufner.

Believe it or not Louis Oosthuizen got bumped from 30th place to 31st when Patrick Cantlay sunk a birdie putt on #18.

It moved Cantlay to 29th and you will never see a happier guy.

I just felt bad for Louie but, knowing him he is looking forward to a week off before the President’s Cup.

It will be a blast watching the FedEx Cup finals next week with the top 30 Fed Ex Cup points Champions going for the big GOLD ring…..$10,000,000!
