I have to wonder where all the birdies were today at the BMW Championship?

Incredible golf by Marc Leishman to just be hanging in there. His 3 under par 68 allowed him to gain 2 strokes on Rickie Fowler and Jason Day.

Everybody was throwing darts at the pins Thursday and Friday but Saturday was a different story.

Rickie Fowler started out with an eagle 2 on the first hole. He played the next 17 holes one over par for a 71.

Many of his par putts were 6-7 footers. It wasn’t like he lipped out a bunch of birdies and had tap ins for pars today
.
Jason Day was the same way. He had some of the craziest lies. His 2nd shot on the par 5 18th hole was BURIED in the bunker.

You could only see about the size of a quarter when you looked down at his ball.
He also fired a -1 under par 71 the same as Fowler. These guys need to put it into high gear tomorrow if they think they have any chance to win the tournament.

I’m well aware that the #1 goal this week is to get into the top 5 FedEx Cup places because if you are in the top five and WIN next week you win the FedEx Cup automatically.

WOW how about a $10,000,000 check next week!! Somebody is going to get one.

Plus if you win the final tournament it’s over $1,500,000 on top of the ten million.

I’m not saying the same person will win both but it’s happened before!

I am reading Rickie Fowler’s mind now and that is what he is thinking. He wants to win it all!!

I can’t wait til tomorrow and see how Fowler handles the round. It is Leishman’s tournament to lose and I think he is a lock the way he has played! Good for him!

Next week is the big test in Atlanta and there is so much money on the line! You are going to see some of the greatest golf we have ever seen at East Lake CC. ENJOY!!
