LeBron James isn’t doing well after suffering a pulled groin and re-injuring his ankle in last night Heat loss. When asked if he thought he could play in Portalnd, James responded by saying; I’m not doing well right now.
James couldn’t recall when he pulled his groin, but he re-injured the ankle he hurt on December 16th in the Utah game. The ankle has been problematic since and landing on the referee’s foot after missing a contested dunk in last night’s game didn’t help.
James has been banged up all season but yet to miss a game. He might not be able to go tonight and this would be the first time he would miss time this season as a starter.
The Heat have relied heavily on LeBron this season and he is starting to show the wear and tear of playing in the NBA night after night. James is going to be a game time decision, and for some reason I think he will play. Whether or not he plays the entire game is another story.
He should take time to rest his pulled groin and his ankle. These groin injuries can go on for a long time if not rested. James may be doing himself more harm by playing.
