Jeremy Lin has given the New York Knicks a lift this season, now without the services of Lin many are wondering if the Knicks can handle the play-offs without the young phenomenon. Lin who has torn his meniscal in his knee that will require surgery and Lin will miss the rest of the season  for the Knicks. New York has only made the Play-offs twice in the last decade and have only made it past the first round once since 2000.

Jeremy Lin certainly added a dimension to the New York Knicks they really needed this season. Lin-Sanity as they called it made its way around the world. Lin’s absence will hurt the knicks and they may not be able to perform as the same team we have seen this season without the help of one Jeremy Lin. The New York Knicks are currently sitting in the eight spot in the East with a 27-26 record. Not the best by far they could have still made a run in the play-offs.

Now without their star player the Knicks will be lucky to finish the season with a winning record and in the play offs who knows how Lin’s injury is going to impact the team. The Knicks have a couple of tough games coming up this week and could in fact find themselves on the outside looking in after they face Indians and Orlando, tow teams that may be able to easily handle New York without the services of Jeremy Lin.

Out of the 13 games New York has remaining this season they have to play eight of them against play off teams. Guys like Carmelo Anthony and Baron Davis are going to have to step up their games to make up for not having Jeremy Lin in the game. The New York Knicks are certainly facing some trouble without the play of Jeremy Lin.
