Justin Thomas wins the Honda Classic in style with a sudden death playoff win over Luke List.

Thomas proved many others wrong this week by his fine play on the back nine.

The incoming nine holes especially the bear trap, holes 15-17 took no prisoners this week. So many balls in the water and more double bogeys than you care to add.

Justin Thomas just quietly went along doing his business as good as anyone has in a long time. This is his 7th win in his last 31 starts……how is that for a run?

Luke List, Alex Noren, & Tommy Fleetwood all hung around closely this afternoon but only List would tie Thomas after the regulation 72 holes.

It was starting to get dark and they figured that only 2 holes could be played today if a winner didn’t emerge.

Well emerge is just what Justin Thomas did when he birdied #18 for the second time today.

In the playoff hole he wouldn’t let up and hit a wood on the green in 2 for a 2 putt birdie and the Honda Classic Championship.

The Co-Chair Persons were Gary Nicklaus and his mom Barbara Nicklaus.

The royal first family presented the trophy to Justin and he was so proud and happy.

Really happy because his mom and dad were there to see him get the WIN. His dad Mike has been the only coach Justin has ever had.

He signed the ball and gave it to his dad just like every win he has ever had.

Yes, even all the way back to his amateur days.

Mike has them in a ball holder in the clubhouse at his course. Hope they are insured!!!!

All eyes were on Tiger Woods today as the back nine holes brought him to his knees.

He looked good and said he felt good.

I could tell he was getting tired toward the end of his round and he did say he needs to get to the gym to get stronger and in even better shape.

I’m impressed with the fans who ran around that golf course just to watch him play all 4 days.

They were courteous and hollered go Tiger and nice things like that.

He is officially now one week closer to that 90th career PGA tour win. His 12th place finish really was better than that and he knows it.

That’s why he is so excited to get back to more competition. It’s going to be a fun golf season to follow.
