It isn’t taking the Minnesota Viking long to make the switch at QB. They plan on starting Josh Freeman on Monday night football when the team takes in the win-less New York Giants. Is Freeman going to be the answer the Vikings are looking for?
Freeman may do well in his new surroundings, he has all the promise of a great NFL quarterback. Now is his time to show the world he can put all of his past problems behind him and lead the Vikings to where they want to go this season.
Minnesota is at 1-4 and the team still has plenty of football left this season to make an impact in their division. At the present time. they are only 3 games behind the NFC North leaders. If Freeman can bring an offensive spark the Vikings need, there is no telling how far they can go this season.
They still have 11 games to play, starting Freeman against the win-less Giants is a great way to get the quarterbacks feet wet in the Vikings offensive system. He has only been with the team a short time and the coaching staff already has a great deal of confidence in this young man.
We all know Freeman can get things going in a hurry. If he is able to put his past problems behind him and lead the Vikings the way he is capable, the team is going to benefit big with the QB change. I see this as nothing but a positive for the Vikings. Good things can happen if Freeman lives up to his potential.
