Jordan Spieth showed everyone today at the Northern Trust, that he IS the man to beat when it comes to the FedEx Cup.

Jordan has had one heck of a season capped with the Claret Jug.

Everybody has named Justin Thomas player of the year…….umm maybe a little premature. If Jordan Spieth wins the FedEx Cup he HAS to be player of the year, the PGA TOUR’S MVP!

Jordan was in a 4 way tie for the lead when he teed off and proceeded to bogey the first hole.

A par on #2, then birdie, par, birdie, par, birdie, birdie, & bogey for a 33. When he got a five on the first hole he would have taken ANYTHING under par going out.

The back nine was when the afterburners kicked in. Birdie on #10, 3 pars in a row, then he reels off 3 birdies in a row, and ends par, par, for a 31. 33-31=64 amazing golf played today!

Boy peaking at the right time makes the bank account GROW!!!!!!

Dustin Johnson is all alone in 2nd place so he and Jordan will be the last group off on Sunday.

What a match this will be. We all know DJ will out hit Jordan by 40 yards but it sure is nice hitting first and putting pressure on your opponent.

DJ played a very solid round of golf today and only had one bogey.

He could only muster up 4 birdies. A -3 under par 67 would normally probably kept the lead except for Jordan stepping up and besting that round by 3 strokes.

Rickie Fowler fell off the radar today posting a 4 over par 74.

That dropped him from a tie for first place to a tie for 22nd place. Rickie really got off on the wrong foot by bogeying 5 of the first 6 holes.

That’s tough to shake off even at their professional level.

Jhonny Vegas, the other guy tied for first yesterday, shot a +2 over par 72. FOUR bogeys on the front side did him in but he is still in a tie for 10th place heading into Sunday.

Have fun watching Sunday’s round. It’s gonna be awesome!!!
