They did it folks, The Baltimore Orioles beat the Texas Rangers to extend their hunt for a world series appearance. Joe Saunders took to the mound last night and pitched a spectacular game for Baltimore in what could have been a disaster had the Texas bats started connecting with Saunders pitches.

Joe Saunders pitched for 5-2/3′s innings only allowing the Rangers 1 run on 6 hits. He struck out 4 batters and only walked one to hold the Rangers at bay. The Baltimore Orioles will now move on.

The Orioles played great baseball through the month of September and the team showed just how much heart they had. If the Orioles continue to play the type of baseball they have played in the second half who knows how far this team can go.

The Orioles offense didn’t make it look pretty with lots of home runs, they continued to pick at the Rangers pitchers to get runs across the plate and that is really what matters. This team could go all the way if they can continue the things they have done…..

Just how far do you think the Orioles can get in the Play-offs? Leave your thoughts below….
