Joe Maddon and his Rays are waking up with their backs against the wall this morning. They are only one game away from elimination. The Rays made a major mistake in game 2 leaving Price in the game as long as they did.

Price gave up 7 runs in the game and it is surprising that Maddon left Price in the game as long as he did. Price was no match for the Red Sox. He couldn’t get the job done and this is making people question the Maddon’s call.

There has been a lot of people talking about the genius of Maddon. He didn’t show it so far in this series against Boston. The Rays are over matched in this series and it is going to be interesting to see what Maddon is going to do next.

The Rays can’t go up against the Red Sox in game 3 and leave their starting pitchers in when they are giving up so many runs. They have one more game left in their season to try and extend their season. The Rays bats are going to have to get hot.

If they don’t and if Maddon doesn’t make better decisions in game 3, the Rays will be  going home soon. Game 3 puts it all on the ,line for the Tampa Bay Rays.
