Joe Flacco failed to get his Ravens offense into the end-zone in Detroit last night. The Ravens offense came down to 6 field goals when it came to putting points on the board. Flacco was fortunate Stafford was having a worse night than he was.
Flacco only completed 20 of his 38 passes for 222 yards and he didn’t turn the ball over by throwing any interceptions. That was the difference in the game. Stafford threw 3 picks and the Ravens were able to stay in the game and sneak by with the win by just 2 points.
The Ravens are one game behind the Bengals in the AFC North with a record of 8-6. They are not having a typical Ravens type of season and they will be lucky if they can hold on to make it into the post season.
The game came down to Justin Tucker making a 61 yard field goal. It is a field goal that would not have made it from 62 yards but he made it and the game now goes into the win column.
The Ravens have to play the New England Patriots and if they expect to win, Flacco is going to have to play better than we saw him play in Detroit. Then, they battle the Bengals for what could be control of the AFC North.
This season is coming down to the wire for the defending Super Bowl Champions and it could all fall on the arm of Joe Flacco. This season that is a scary thought.
