JB Holmes looked like Phil Mickelson today hitting trees, spectators, water, you name it JB hit it at the Players Championship.

Rumor has it that JB will be an African Safari guide at the end of the golf season. I guess it is good news that there really isn’t an end to the golf season!!

Holmes missed every fairway the last 6 holes today. It was so windy there that balls were going all over the place. His tee shot on 14 ended up in a water Hazard on 12.

He was is a group of only 8 people who hit 5 or fewer fairways in the third round.

Kyle Stanley, who plays out of Berkley Hall CC in Bluffton South Carolina was off to a slow start when he bogeyed 3 of the first 4 holes.

He played solid golf the rest of the way in and had it together.

My pick Louie Oosthuizen played so-so all day and finished with a 1 over par 73 to be in third place all alone. He will be paired with Si Woo Kim who is 2 strokes behind the leaders.

JB Holmes and Kyle Stanley go off last at 2:30 pm EST. Louie and Si Woo Kim will go off next to last at 2:20 pm EST.

it is amazing to me that Ian Poulter who thought he had lost his card is playing in the third to last group after firing a solid -1 under par 71 today and is -6 under for the tournament.

OMG how about Pat Perez in the wind and rain shooting the low round of the day—–66! Way to go Pat. I am a huge Pat Perez fan and love his UNFILTERED comments!

It’s incredible how high some of the scores were today because of the high winds.

Look at Jon Rahm, the Spaniard, who was in a t10 and after Saturday’s round of 82 was sent home missing the 54 hole cut. Unreal.

#14 ways a killer hole for almost everybody. Directly in the wind and scores ballooned on that hole. Even poor Matt Kuchar took a 9 enroute to an 81. WHEW!!

Some players made comments about the course and none were flattering. Especially #12, the hole all the PGA Tour officials were excited about, is not a favorite of the players.

They will have to raise the left side of the green after the tournament is over and then people will go for the green with their first shot!

Louie Oosthuizen and Sergio Garcia both respect and enjoy the course. Louie said that no lead is big enough!!!

11 players won’t be teeing it up Sunday even though they played Saturday. It is called MDF, It’s a 54 hole cut.

Never understood why but we won’t see the likes of Gary Woodland, Jon Rahm, Justin Thomas, etc. I am not a fan of the 54 hole cut.

It will be one heck of a finish! I can’t wait, enjoy your day and HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!!
