Tiger Woods hasn’t won an Open Championship in six years, he is in the lead by one stroke after 7 holes. Tiger is off to a good start and has made four birdies with back to back birdies coming on holes six and seven. I know it is early folks and there is plenty of golf left to be played. Mickelson hasn’t even teed off yet. When Tiger gets off and running like this he is focused that is the point here. Tiger is hungry for a Major, he has won on tour three times this year and not one of those wins is a major.

Bubba Watson the Masters winner was only one stroke back of Tiger tied for second at 3 under after 9 holes. Could this be the year the course favors the long hitters? If they can keep it out of trouble you just never know. Sit back folks we have a long way to go and it is sure to get interesting from here….

Mr. Tiger Wood is complaining the the rough grass is too high in GB? IMO, Mr. Wood ought to stop complaining and get with the program to defend his professional standing. Anyone can hit out of short roughs, it takes a real pro to hit out of the tall British open roughs. Good luck!
