Robert Griffin III, finally was able to get in on 11 on 11 drills and take some snaps with the first team. It shows that RGIII is closer to making his return since his knee surgery. We all know RGIII wants to be ready for week one.

It is unlikely that he will see any playing time in the preseason according to his head coach Mike Shanahan, Griffin will not play in the preseason. It had to feel good to finally get on the field with the first team with 11 on 11 drills.

RGIII complete 7 of the 10 passes he attempted and threw one interception. RGIII is showing he can heal as quick as he made his transition into the NFL. RGIII is going to have to control his willingness to leave the pocket this season.

He has to be concerned with his health if he wants to lead the Redskins back into the NFL play-offs. He has to learn that running NFL quarterbacks don’t last long in the league. If Griffin wants to have a long career with the Redskins, he has to slow down his rushing.

RGIII is ready to get back to lead his team, but until he is 100% healthy he has to accept whatever decision his head coach makes for him.
