The Texas Rangers were able to edge out the Boston Red Sox in what looked like a home run derby. Both teams were tied at 3 win the 9th inning started and it looked like this game could go into extra innings.

The Rangers watched the Red Sox jump out into a 3-0 lead on David Ortiz first inning home run that drove in Dustin Pedroia to make it 2-0 in the 1st. Then in the second inning the Rangers would see the Red Sox hit another home run to make it 3-0.

Texas answered back with a couple of home runs of their own. Mitch Moreland hit a solo blast in the 3rd inning and Nelson Cruz hit a 2 run blast in the 6th to tie the game at 3. That was it for all the long balls.

The Rangers would get their 20th win, on a Adrian Beltre single in the 9th to drive in Elvis Andrus. The Rangers are now tied for the most wins in Major League Baseball. How long will this hold up?
