Everyone wishes D. Rose continues to have a speedy recovery and come back better than before. But will his brief absence from the court be the push the rest of the Bulls need to step up? Without Rose throughout most of this past 2011-2012 season the Bulls fought to hold on to the league’s best record. Going into the playoffs the Bulls looked as if they were ready to win their first championship since the 1997-1998 season. Even with the injuries several Bulls players were dealing with, Bulls fans were excited about playoffs. During the last minutes of the first game against the Philadelphia 76ers Rose went down, tearing his ACL. The Bulls promised to still fight on. After Noah’s ankle injury the hope fans had of the Bulls winning a championship diminished. Fast forward to now, the season beginning not far away fans are wondering if the team will be able to manage without their star. I believe they will as Rose’s absence will force everyone to step up and add more. The team’s young talent including Taj Gibson and Jimmy Butler will also have the ability to grow and develop into their own. Even though many changes need to be made and the task of keeping the team afloat against the several new look power teams without Rose may be a hard one, the Chicago Bulls have the talent to do so.

You are right, they need a guy like Rose to be a great team. I wonder just how long they will be without him?
