This isn’t the way Kobe Bryant thought the 2012-2013 season would end for him or his Los Angeles Lakers. The 34-year-old star, could be faced with a serious decision. If Bryant is has a ruptured Achilles tendon, should he try to mount a come-back, or just call it a career.

Bryant poured his heart and soul into the Lakers this season or any of the other 16 seasons he has been in L.A.. Bryant is a warrior, but to come back from an injury like this might be asking too much from the Lakers star player.

Bryant made a guarantee earlier in the season, he said he and his Lakers would make the play-offs this season.  The Lakers have struggled with much this season, but to go on without Bryant would present the team with its biggest struggle of all.

Bryant is going to undergo an M.R>I. today and the teams doctors will get access to, just how bad his injury is. If Bryant has to undergo surgery he is out for at least a year. That would make Bryant 35-year-old and he would still be faced with a ton of rehab.

Does he have it in him, to mount a come-back at this point in his career, or should he just call it quits? That is the question Bryant and many others will be asking themselves this off-season. He has been one of the NBA’s shinning stars for a long time and the Lakers just won’t be the Lakers without him.

People in L.A. may have to get used to it. No matter who you are your career as a professional athlete has to come to an end sooner or later. That sooner could be facing Bryant now.

Tell us what you think. Can Kobe come back from a ruptured Achilles tendon? Leave your comments below…..
