Tiger Woods openly admitted that he couldn’t get the speed of the greens right all week at Jack’s tournament. Woods led the tour in putting this season until he finished one of his worst weeks on tour since back in 1997.

Tiger only finished ahead of 6 guys in putting this past weekend. he hasn’t played this bad in so long, many didn’t think he was capable of this type of finish in a full field PGA tour event. Tiger Woods said, it was just one of those weeks as he tried to shrug it off on Sunday. he went on to say it happens to all of us out here.

Well, it hasn’t happened to Tiger very often. Before the Memorial started, Woods made a trip to Merion the site of this years U.S. Open in Philadelphia. Maybe Woods is so focused on winning a major this year, he didn’t really want to take part in the Memorial.

Maybe, the only reason Woods made a showing outside of Columbus, Ohio was to pay his respects to jack Nicklaus, the man whose record Woods is trying to chase down when it comes to major wins.

If Tiger was due to have a bad performance this season, he would rather have it happen at the Memorial than the U.S. Open, wouldn’t he? Regardless of what took place at the Memorial, Woods is still the heavy favorite coming into this years U.S. Open.

Tiger will get his putter working before the start of the 2013 U.S. Open, he wants this one bad. he wants that record that belongs to the Golden Bear, he wants to win Majors.
