Marvin Lewis has his Bengals off and running, Cedric Peerman may have only had 7 touches in the Jets game but 2 of those were for touchdowns. The Bengals beat the Jets 17-6 last night and Lewis’s Bengals looked like they are already looking to control their own destiny. The Bengals defense looked good too. Vontaze Burfict was able to intercept a Tebow pass and return it for five yards. The Bengals looked like they haven’ missed a beat from the end of last season.

Quarterback Andy Dalton could have been a little sharper, I’m sure by  the time the season starts he will be firing on all cylinders. Dalton was only 4 of 9 for 54 yards in the game. He will pick those numbers up as time moves on in the pre-season. The Bengals pass rush looked good against the jets, the team was able to get 5 sacks for 40 yards and if they can continue to put that kind of pressure on the opposing teams quarterback throughout the 2012 season they will be very disruptive to the teams offense.

Linebacker Dan Skuta lead the way against the Jets for the Bengals defense, he had 1 sack, 4 tackles and was able to hit the quarterback a few times too. If this guy continues to play the way he did last night he could have Pro-Bowl written all over him this season. The Bengals looked good a s a team. They made it look easy to beat the Jets, sure it is pre-season football and it doesn’t matter to the teams standings, nonetheless it showed me Lewis has his team ready for some football.
