Sergio Garcia has posted rounds of 65,64 and 65 to hold his lead at the Deutsche Bank Championship. He needs to stayed focused for one more round to win the second leg of the Fedex Cup. It is great to see Sergio play well.
He usually puts together one or 2 good rounds, but this week he looks to be in control of the tournament. Garcia comes into the final round with a 2 stroke lead. He can win this thing if he plays his round the same way he has played in the first three rounds.
He is very consistent this week and the TPC Boston fits his eye very nicely. The closest American is Steve Striker, Woods and Mickleson are too far behind to give Garcia any problems. Striker starts the final round 3 back and he will be in front of Garcia so Sergio can do a bit if scoreboard watching to make sure he isn’t being chased down by Striker.
The guy in second coming into the final round could give Sergio a run for his money. Sergio has to ignore what Stenson does today and he needs to play his round the way he has played this week.
If Garcia can accomplish that, he is going to be tough to chase down. He could win this thing and be in the hunt for the Fedex Cup…
