Rory McIlroy is the new Tiger Woods of the PGA tour, McIlroy has vaulted himself into the lead at the Deutsche Bank Championship with a 6 under par round so far in his second round. McIlroy started on the back nine today and went out with a 5 under par 30. He made birdies at 12,13 and 14 before closing the back nine with an eagle on 18. McIlroy with 4 holes left to play in his second round has made 3 birdies and 2 bogeys on the front nine so far at the TPC Boston.

If McIlroy can string together 2 more rounds like his first 2 he is going to be difficult to beat come Monday. McIlroy just seems to go out on the course and  go about his business. Not much seems to rattle this 23-year-old from Holywood, Northern Ireland. He became the second youngest guys to win his second major just a few weeks back when he claimed the  PGA. This kid is taking over where Tiger Woods left off as far as being the next dominant player on the PGA tour. Lets keep an eye on McIlroy this weekend and see how he finishes.
