2013 was Brandt Snedeker’s year. He came out and played some great golf. Then he was side-lined with a nagging rib injury that kept him out of competition for more than a couple of weeks. Now Snedeker finds himself tied for the lead in the season’s first major, The Masters.

Can he hold off a charging Tiger Woods? I think so and he can win the Masters if he sticks to his game plan. Snedeker was the best player on tour to start the 2013 PGA season. He was winning and he was coming in second place before he injured his ribs.

There is no sign of the injury at Augusta. he played a great 3rd round and he put himself in position to win the tournament if he can hold off the rest of the field and manage to make a few birdies in his 4th and final round at Augusta.

Snedeker played a bogey free round yesterday. He made 3 birdies to get to 7 under par and is tied for the lead going into the final round. If he can continue to play the kind of golf that he is capable of playing, he is going to be tough to beat.

Snedeker has never won a Major, his best finish at Augusta was a tie for 3rd place in 2008. Last year he finished tied for 19th place. His time has come. He knows what he has to do today and if he wants to wear the green jacket, he has to play a mistake free round of golf.

Snedeker is capable of winning the 2013 Masters. Now, he has to show the world he can do it…….
