What can we say about Brandt Snedeker? The guy is the best player on the PGA tour so far in the 2013 season. He has had 2 second place finishes and today he found the winners circle beating everyone to win the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am. Snecker came out today and played the same great golf he has played since he won the Fed Ex Cup last season. Brandt pared his first hole in the final round before making Eagle at the second. A Par 5 that has played fairly easy, but not as easy as Snedeker made it look.

He went on to make birdies at 4-6 and 7 before his first and only bogey come on his front nine at the 9th hole. Snedeker was in control of his own destiny and he finished the front nine with a nice little 4 under par 32. Snedeker went on to play the back and started off with a pair of birdies at holes 10 and 11. He went on to make par at 12-13-14-15-and 16. He looked unstoppable. Then he hit a unbelievable shot at the 17th hole that set up his 3rd birdie on the back nine. Brandt was in cruise control at this point of the tournament. He had a 3 stroke lead on the second place guy and only had to negotiate the 18th hole to bring in his first victory of the 2013 PGA season.

Snedeker hit a great drive with some sort of hybrid club off the tee finding the center of the 18th fairway.  He then laid up with a 6 iron to the par 5 18th and found the center of the fairway again. He hit his 3rd shot on 18 from 135 yards and he found the center of the green leaving himself a neat little put of about 20 feet for yet another birdie. Snedeker has had 68 birdies and on Eagle in his last 3 weeks. His putter has worked great. With this win Snedeker moves up to number 4 in the world. I wouldn’t be so quick to had Tiger Woods the Masters this year. Snedeker has always played well at Augusta.

Hit hit his birdie put and just missed it but was able to come back for the par and finished the The AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am with a great final round of 65 and win the tournament. Congratulations to Brandt Snedeker who is off to one great season on the PGA Tour…
