How does Ben Martin follow a round of 10 under par? It was easy, or should we say, Martin was making it look easy. He came out in his 2nd round ant the Zurich Classic of New Orleans, and picked up right where he left off. He started the day making a birdie and even through in an eagle to help himself stay atop the leader-board.

Martin looked as though he had it in cruise control. The guy could do no wrong. He made 6 birdies in round 2 and one eagle. He had it to 8 under par going into the last two holes. He then made his first bogey of the tournament on the 17th and followed that up with a double on the 18th.

He showed he is human and he too can make a couple of mistakes out on the golf course. The kid has played beautifully over the past two weeks and once again he heads into the weekend with a chance to win a tournament. He showed last week at the RBC Heritage on Hilton Head Island, he has the nerves needed to play in the last group on Saturday.

This week Martin heads into the 3rd round holding a 3 stroke lead. He has to be hoping the two bad hole to end his second round are out of his system. This kid has what it takes to win this tournament, and after missing 9 cuts in the 14 tournaments he’s played this season, a win is just what Martin needs.
