Jim Furyk had a perfect round of golf going in his 3rd round at the Tour Championship until he hit his tee shot in the water on the 17th hole. Furyk looked like he was on cruise control out there today, he didn’t have a bogey on his card going to the 17th tee. Furyk had 15 pars and 1 birdie. Then it happened, Jim Furyk made a triple bogey on the 17th hole and lost his share of the lead with Justin Rose and Brant Snedeker.

Furyk is now 3 strokes behind the leaders who are at 8 under par and has one more round to play to see if he can gain the ground back he lost in his second to last hole. We all know Jim Furyk is looking for a Ryder Cup spot and it is a well deserved spot if you ask the fans of golf around the country.

Justin Rose and Brant Snedeker will sleep on a lead tonight for the Fedex Cup. one of these two guys could win the tournament and still end up in a play off for the Cup. Tiger Woods is only 4 strokes back after posting a 3 under par round of 67 today. Rory McIlroy sits tied with Furyk and Bubba Watson who are at 5 under par and tied for 4th 3 strokes behind the leaders.

Tomorrow is going to be a shootout for the Fedex Cup, the players are going to have to be careful, Eastlake Golf Club is playing tough. To make up ground and come from behind isn’t as easy as it is at other courses. The narrow fairways can punish the best of ball strikers if they just hit it a little off-line.
