Drew Brees goes into the history books once again. He just broke the record set by one of the games all time legends, Johnny Unitas. Bress threw for a touchdown in his 48th straight football game. This is a record that has stood the test of time for 52 years. It took until October 7th 2012 for the record Johnny Unitas set to fall. The NFL gave special permission for the Saints suspended head coach Sean Peyton to come to the game tonight. It didn’t take long before Brees completed his pass for a touchdown in 48 straight NFL games. Joe Unitas was present to see the record his late father held for so many years fall.

Brees hit Devery Henderson with the record-setting pass that covered 40 yards. Drew Brews now hold the record for the most consecutive games with a touchdown pass and he will certainly add to the total.
