Tiger Woods is 4 shots back at the Open Championship after he cards a third round even par score. Woods who hasn’t won an Open in six years is really sticking to a game plan we haven’t seen from Woods. He is staying out of trouble for the most part but today he had his putter let him down a bit. Woods has to make up ground if he expects to get his 15th major win. Woods has never won a major coming from behind after three rounds that I can recall.

Tiger made three Bogeys and three Birdies in his third round, he missed a couple of putts including one on the 18th hole that could have put him under-par. If Woods is going to win tomorrow he is going to have to get a little aggressive. We haven’t seen Tiger get aggressive yet at this 141st Open Championship and if he does he could put him self if a good place. Tiger Woods hasn’t won a major since he beat Rocco Mediate by one stroke in the 2008 U.S. Open.

Tiger has gone 4 years without a major title and he is hungry as time in his era of dominance is running out. Woods isn’t the threat he was in his earlier years on the tour. Today there are so many guys that can win. No longer are we seeing the Tiger Woods who once had other players shaking in their golf shoes. If Tiger is going to win this Open Championship, he is going to have to dig down inside of himself and find a little of the Tiger of old. The Tiger that could hit iron shots into greens attacking the flag stick, the Tiger that would fearlessly hit his putts knowing they would find the bottom of the hole.

Some think that Tiger Woods no longer exists.  Tell us if you think Tiger Woods can go out and win this Open Championship from four strokes back, just leave your comments below…..
