Joe Flacco is going into the off-season with a playoff performance for the books. Flacco threw for 11 touchdowns and 0 interceptions in the 4 playoff games including the Super Bowl that the Baltimore Ravens were apart of. When you think of elite quarterbacks in the national football league, Who comes to mind? Peyton Manning, Drew Bree’s, Eli Manning, Aaron Rodgers are considered to be the top-tier of NFL Quarterbacks. Flacco always have been  considered as a good quarterback  has never been selected for a Pro Bowl or any of the top mentions for quarterbacks in the NFL. In the past 4 years, Flacco has thrown for at least 3600 yards and 20 touchdowns, these numbers are not as good as Aaron Rodgers or a Drew Brees, however his QB rating has been very close to these quarterbacks,

His recent playoff performance almost went unnoticed behind the story lines of his teammate Ray Lewis, Lewis announced his retirement at the end of the season late in the NFL regular season. These story lines covered up Flacco’s first 3 solid performances during the NFL playoffs which consisted of a completion percentage of at least 55%, an overtime thriller against Peyton Manning’s Bronco’s in which he threw for 3 touchdowns and 0 interceptions and a victory over Playoff legend Tom Brady. Joe Flacco’s stats may not be as good as some of the top NFL quarterbacks but his better than average regular season play and amazing postseason in the 2012/2013 season may finally assert him into the company of the elite quarterbacks in the NFL
