Doug Fister pitched lights out last night to help the Detroit Tigers extend their lead over the White Sox in the American League Central Division.. Fister pitched for 7-2/3′s and stuck out 10, gave up 5 hits and 3 runs, which only 2 of them were earned runs. The Detroit Tigers have now won 4 games in a row. The lead over the White Sox for first place in the A.L. Central is now a full 2 games.
Jim Leyland’s Tigers couldn’t have picked a better time to start winning the season is winding down fast and the White Sox have been dealt some blows losing 2 to the Indians and their last loss to the Tampa Bay Rays. The Tigers have a couple more games they should be able to win while playing the Twins. Then they play the Royals 3 more times to wind down their season before the play offs start….
