Trent Richardson is coming into his 3rd season in the NFL. He has already coasted 2 team’s a number one pick. When one guy cost 2 teams a number one pick, you would think there was something special about this player. That’s not the case when it comes to Richardson.
Trent Richardson never lived up to the hype that surrounded him. He was ranked 44th in the NFL last year among running backs. This isn’t a guy you use a 1st round pick on. Richardson was bumped out of his starting job last season and you have to wonder, how much longer the Indianapolis Colts are going to put up with him.
The Colts thought they were getting a great deal when they traded to bring him into Indy. They never really got anything they thought they were getting in Richardson, when they gave up a 1st round pick to get him.
The Cleveland Browns really found a way to take advantage of the Colts and rid their team of a wasted 1st round pick. Now the Indianapolis Colts are dealing with the Richardson problem. This could be his last season in Indy and if he doesn’t perform better this season, he might not even last the season with the Colts.
