Chip Kelly showed the world that his high-powered offense can work in the NFL. The Eagles beat the Washington Redskins in Kelly’s first NFL regular season game. Philadelphia wasted little time jumping out to a 12 point first quarter lead.

Michale Vick threw for 203 yards and 2 touchdowns and didn’t do something we are used to seeing him do. He didn’t throw any interceptions in the game. He also rushed for 54 yards on 9 carries . Late in the game it looked like Vick strained his groin. But he was able to continue and he helped his team get their first win of the 2013 season.

The Eagles defense played a great game too. They were able to get pressure on RGIII and they kept it on him throughout the entire game. The Eagles defense played a major role in the win. The Eagles really had to count on the defense because their offense failed to put any points on the board in the 4th quarter.

LeSean McCoy had a great night coming out of the Eagles back-field. He rushed for 184 yards on 31 carries and one touchdown. McCoy had all the moves and at times he made the Redskins defense look stupid.

This is a win and it is Chip Kelly’s first NFL win. You can bet he won’t be happy not scoring any points in the 4th quarter, but I would expect the Eagles to improve that before their next game.
