Cam Newton took his Carolina Panthers to a place they haven’t visited for over five years. The team is over .500 with a 4-3 record. Newton played great to get the team’s 4th win of the season.

he threw for 221 yards and 2 touchdowns, completely 23 of the 32 passes he attempted. He ran for another 50 yards and he made it look easy to beat the Buccaneers.

The Panthers rushed the ball well too. Williams only carried the ball 8 times, but he came away from the game with a 5.4 yard per carry average. He ran for 12 yards on one of those carries blowing over the Buccaneers who got in his way.

Williams is a powerful back who can certainly help Newton and his Panther pound out some tough yards when needed.

The Panthers fullback, Mike Tolbert helped carry the load out of the back field with 7 carries for 35 yards for a 5.0 yard per carry average. The Panthers looked like a well balance team in the win over Tampa Bay.

Now the team just has to stay focused on winning. Getting over .500 is one thing, staying there is something completely different and something the Panthers aren’t used too.

Newton seems to like it and we know this guy will do what he can to keep the team winning.
