Bubba Watson wins the Genesis Open by two shots over Kevin Na and Tony Finau.

This was the third win for Bubba here at the ever tough Riviera C.C. And his first win in 23 months.

This victory marks his 10th PGA Tour victory and of course that counts his 2 green jackets.

Bubba broke down like a baby when he sunk the last putt. He hard such a difficult time talking to Peter Kostis for his post round victory interview.

Watson mentioned that he and his wife seriously considered his quitting the game.

He was never quite sure what happened but he has joined the millions of us who were really great golfers at some point in our lives and suddenly it was gone.

Golf is a tough sport.

Bubba started the day on top of the leaderboard and finished it off with the win.

So many tournaments this past year have had the third round leader fold like a cheap suit on Sunday.

This was truly refreshing and made me personally feel great.

I’ve seen both sides of the ADD Bubba when he is a jerk and when he turns 180 degrees and becomes the really nice guy you wouldn’t mind taking home for dinner.

If I live to be 100 I’ll never understand why some people have to be jerks especially around kids.

We all thought this might be the place for Phil to do it but he could only hang onto a tie for sixth place.

Phil said in his post round interview that he seriously feels that he has to pull off a win before the Masters to have a chance at Augusta.

I agree, it’s been too long for Phil to be winless. He has played at a top tier level and there is no reason he can’t get a W!!

Phil is skipping this week and will be playing next in Mexico.

He is stoked because they have the same grass that they have at Riviera.

Look out I think he really wants to win bad and we all know that he is perfectly capable!
