Eagles Point Golf Club was a brand new course for the Wells Fargo Championship, that none of the pros had ever played.

The Wells Fargo has ways been played at Quail Hollow and this year it couldn’t happen because the PGA Championship is being held there.

Anyway what a tournament and more specifically what a Sunday!

Brian Harmon had a chance to par #18 and have a playoff with Pat Perez and Dustin Johnson. Well he decided to birdie the 72nd hole and win the tournament outright.

I am so proud of our Savannah Georgia native who calls St. Simons Island his home.

He played so well at Harbour Town and wanted to win this tournament in the worst way but it wasn’t to be this year.

I will predict he will win the Heritage tournament at Hilton Head Island one day soon!!!

We all thought there would be at least a 3 way playoff with Dustin Johnson and Pat Perez. He did roll in a 25 foot putt for his win. Congratulations Brian you deserved it.

I am so excited to see him play the Players Championship in Ponte Vedra Beach Fla. next week.

Lots of changes in the stadium course and it will be a shot makers course not necessarily a long knockers course. I love it!!

Dustin Johnson and Pat Perez congrats on coming in 2nd with a fantastic -9 under par.

BTW my hat goes off to John Daly for getting his first win on the Champions Tour. The Insperity Invitational at the Woodlands CC.

It was so nice to see John get his first win. When he walked down the 18th hole there was an umbrella painted on the fairway ……..

John bent down and kissed the umbrella and then gave a thumbs up to the sky to commemorate his hero Arnold Palmer. Man I got goose bumps!!

I’ll be live at the Players to get some cool stuff to tell you about next week!

Enjoy the Players…the finest field we will have all year.
