Beau Hossler fired a -4 under par 68 today to hold on to a 1 stroke lead in the Houston Open. Hossler is -11 for the first two days in Houston.

We have a 4 way tie for 2nd place with Sam Ryder, Rickie Fowler, Abraham Ancer, & Nicholas Lindheim all square at -10 under par and 4 others, one stroke off the lead.

Beau, a native of California, really is enjoying himself in Houston this week.

He is working towards his first PGA Tour win and has earned just shy of $600,000 so far this year.

A win would make him the last person to qualify for the Masters next week.

Winning is always a good thing but winning and being able to play at Augusta National the next week would make things extra special.

Rickie Fowler really wants to be the most recent to win at the Houston Open and go on to win the Masters.

Jordan Spieth was the last person to do that!

Our boy Phil ” The Thrill” Mickelson had it going for a while, at least thru 17 holes, when the TRIPLE BOGEY TRAIN ARRIVED!

Yep, here we go again, Phil was -4 under thru 17 and proceeded to hit 2 balls in the water on #18 for a triple bogey 7.

Nobody was more upset than Phil. You can never really tell how he is feeling but that 7 hurt him a lot.

That -1 round added to his -4 round on Thursday has him in a tie for 42nd. He needs a couple low rounds to get back into the mix. We all know he can do it!
