Austin Cook is calm, cool, & collected. He is heading into the final round Sunday at the RSM Classic in Saint Simon’s Island with a 3 shot lead.

Believe me it doesn’t hurt that he has Hall of Fame caddy Kip Henley on his bag!
Today he fired a -4 round that put him -18 for the tournament.

He holds a 1 shot lead over Chris Kirk.

His 3 day total of 194 is the lowest 3 day total on the PGA Tour this season.

His 3 shot lead ties Kevin Kisner’s 3 day total when he won in 2015.

This is Austin’s 4th start and he has made the cut all 4 times.

He is hoping to become the 5th player to get his first win at the RSM Classic.

This is his first time heading into the final round with either a lead or a tie for the lead.

He received his PGA card by finishing 15th on the Web.Com regular season money list.

2013 Champion Chris Kirk fired a beautiful 3rd round 64 but he is in 2nd place 3 shots back.

Kirk is a 4 time winner on the tour but is winless the last 4 seasons.

Brian Gay is in third place and trails Cook by 4 shots. Gay has 4 wins in 523 starts….it’s a tough game.

Brian had Kip Henley on the bag for years and they will be paired again tomorrow just like they were today.

They are still friends and Kip will tell you that Brian Gay may be the best putter out there.

We will see how it goes tomorrow. Going to be a fun ride!
