The RSM Classic really showed us today what a little wind can do to some people.

The SeaSide Course is so tough when the wind picks up. It did just that this afternoon.

The Plantation Course can be a little more forgiving in the wind.

I guess the bottom line is they are both tough courses.

Saturday & Sunday rounds will both be played on the SeaSide Course.

Today Austin Cook made this tough game look really too easy!

He followed up his 66 on Thursday with a 62 today. That gave Austin a one shot lead heading into the weekend.

Brian Gay followed up his 65 with a 64 today.

Incredible putting and really looked comfortable here on St Simons Island.

CT Pan has gone 68-65 to hold onto a 3 way tie for third place with Chris Kirk 63-70, & Vaughn Taylor 67-66 all three are -9 under par.

The rounds of the day were CT Pan with a -7 under 65 (Plantation Course) and Austin Cook with an -8 under par 62 on the SeaSide Course.

The cut ended up at -3 under par and 73 pros and 1 amateur made the cut.

Wow Braden Thornberry is the real deal. This amateur is a Junior at Ole Miss and currently sits in a tie for 23rd.

He has 8 College Victories and was low medalist at the NCAA tournament as a Sophomore. He has one of the best caddies on the tour and that is Don Donatello.

Don can really help him.

Our leader has 4 starts on the PGA Tour this year and has made the cut each time!!

He doesn’t have a PGA victory yet but the RSM Classic has had 4 players get their first win on tour. Mac Hughes, Kevin Kisner, Robert Streb, & Tommy “Two Gloves” Gainey.

I followed Bubba Watson on his first nine today and witnessed his 29. 8–3’s & 1-5.
Patton Kizzire, the OHL Classic at Mayakoba, is looking for back to back wins. He is a resident here on Saint Simon’s and is really thought highly of!! He is currently T12.

Unfortunately Davis Love III and son Dru both missed the cut.

Last year’s champ Mac Hughes also missed the cut.

Going to be beautiful with a high of 75 Saturday. Going to have more wind and Sunday the weather may turn a little ugly with wind and rain.

Keep watching this is going to be a really fun finish!
