The Kansas City Chiefs are hoping to finalized a deal with Andy Reid to become the Chiefs new head coach, after the season Reid had with the Eagles one has to wonder if Kansas City is moving from bad (Romeo Crennel) to worse with Andy Reid.  The Eagles only won 4 games in the 2012 season, Reid would come to Kansas City having the same problems he had in Philadelphia, lack of a good quarterback. The Chiefs played much of the 2012 season with Brady Quin at the Q.B. Position, it was clear that Quinn had a difficult time trying to make something happen for the Chiefs.

Andy Reid will face a difficult situation that comes into the 2013 season after posting just 2 wins in the 2012 season. The Chiefs are going to need some time to rebuild and a couple of successful drafts to get the talent the teams is going to need to become a contender. To take on Andy Reid may not be the answer to all the Kansas City Chiefs problems. The front office is going to need rebuilding too. There are rumors about Reid wanting to have Tom Heckert added as the teams G.M.. Reid and Heckert worked together with the Eagles and Heckert was just let go b the Cleveland Browns. A Reid Heckert combination could help the Chiefs a little quicker but there would be some concern as to how long it would take the two men to get the Chiefs back to contention.  With a Reid Heckert combination it could take several years to bring in the right talent. Heckert likes to build through the draft and avoids free agents.

It will be interesting to see what moves the Chiefs make moving into the wildcard weekend. If they ink a deal with Reid today, they might be moving a little to quickly.
