Monday night football all eyes were focused on the Cincinnati Bengals and the Pittsburgh Steelers. Both team’s trying to avoid a 0-2 start and both team’s divisional rivals in the AFC North. One team had to win and it was the Bengals.
They beat the Steelers 20-10 in a game that started out looking like it was going to be a defensive struggle. Andy Dalton didn’t have the best night, but he was good enough to beat the team they have been trying to beat for years.
Dalton completed 25 of the 45 passes he threw, he was able to pick apart the Steelers aging secondary. Dalton only threw for one touchdown in the game. The Bengals rushed for another. The Steelers defense could get to Dalton and he was able to do what he needed to do to get his Bengals their first win of the 2013 season.
The Bengals defense played a good game. They were able to put the pressure on Roethlisberger all night and they kept him from making the big plays.
The Bengals defense sacked Roethlisberger twice and held the Steelers to only 44 rushing yards. The Bengals looked like a well-balanced team last night and now that they got their first win they could go on to control the AFC North like so many experts predicted before the season got underway.
