Andrew Luck and his Indianapolis Colts beat the Kansas City Chiefs and it was because of the effort Luck and his Colts made in the second half of the game. Talk about on field leaders.
Luck might be one of the best on the field leaders in the history of the NFL. The Colts didn’t have the best first half and they trailed the Chiefs by 21 points heading into their locker room at the half.
A lot of teams might have given up at that time. Somehow Luck got his guys ready to play coming out for the 3rd quarter and that is when he started to gain the momentum needed to beat the Chiefs.
The Colts scored 21 points in the 3rd quarter. Just like that the game was starting to fall into Luck’s hands and he wasn’t though yet. Luck and his Colts completely out played Kansas City in the second half of the game.
The Colts scored 14 points in the 4th quarter and they finally were in control of their own destiny. The Indianapolis defense had to stop Alex Smith and his high-powered Chiefs offense.
It came down to one more stop needed by the Colts defense. It was 4th down and Smith took a shot down the side-lines and he hit Bowe with the pass that could have put a dagger through a Colts win.
Bowe couldn’t get both feet in bounds and the ball was turned over on downs to Andrew Luck and his Colts offense. They did it, The Colts led by this 2nd year quarterback launched the 2nd biggest come back in the history of the NFL and they won the wild card game to extend their time in the play offs.
Never count out Andrew Luck, this guy is a great young talent and he is a proven leader who doesn’t have any quit in his body.
