Bode Miller’s 2014 Olympics hopes have come crashing down on the emotional skier. Miller as withdrawn from competing in the mens slalom. Miller is having knee problems and he can’t compete in the race. Many of you may recall, Millers emotional win this weekend.
Miller who was competing in his first Olympics since the death of his brother, was brought to tears by an NBC reporting. Miller was quick to jump to her defense. That’s the type of guy this American legend is. Miller may have just competed in his last Olympics.
The 6-time-medalist who won bronze in the super-G, said Wednesday that his surgically repaired left knee has been bothersome during the Olympics, and it may prevent him from entering Saturday night’s slalom, the final Alpine event of the Sochi Games.
The 36-year-old Miller first appeared in the Olympic games in 1998, making this his filth Olympic team appearance.
Miller has also won 4 world championships during his spectacular career. No one can ever take away the greatness this champion has achieved. We wish him the best and hope his knee lets him enjoy life outside of competition for a very long time.
Miller is a fine gentleman and an outstanding world champion who deserve the best.
