Alex Noren leads the Farmers Insurance Open after round 3 by 1 stroke over Ryan Palmer.

Noren has 35 starts on the PGA Tour and has 10 top tens. No wins yet but this could be the week.

Really great golfer from Stockholm Sweden, turned pro in 2005, and currently ranked 19th in the world. Alex has done well on the European Tour.

It has been fun the last 12-18 months seeing how many first time winners we have had on the tour. It shows the depth our tour has.

Noren sort of did it all today with and eagle 3 on the par 5 #6, and a double bogey 6 on #12. The eagle was a sight to be hold, 290 yard drive, 252 second to 38′, then dropped the putt.

The double looked more like me. Drive into fairway bunker, second shot short, shot three on the green and then 3 putted the hole.

He finished with 3 birdies on the last 6 holes!

The course is playing LONG this week just under 7700 yards , that’s unreal!!

I am sure he is happy with a -3 under par 69 after the double bogey.

Ryan Palmer is hurting tonight after leading and then shooting a +1 today to move into second place.

Palmer is a very tough guy and the wind will be blowing tomorrow which means colder air off the water, my gut feeling is he can handle tough conditions.

Going to be very interesting to see what happens. With Palmer only one shot off the lead going into the final round tomorrow anything can happen.

There are two of the longest hitters on the tour within 3 shots of the lead.

JB Holmes and Gary Woodland are within striking distance. If these 2 can hit greens and get their putters hot look out!

Tiger Woods shot a -2 under par 70 today and barely hit a fairway! He never ceases to amaze us with his creative shot making.

He is sitting at -3 under and sitting in 39th place.

8 strokes off the lead is a bit much to chew off even for the Tiger of old, but he has the pedal to the metal and is going to go out tomorrow and play some serious golf.

I really wish Tiger would commit to a few more Tournaments.

The more competition he has the better he will be! I’m sticking with my prediction that he will win this year and more majors are a distinct possibility.

He just plain looks great when he is on.
