Tiger Woods was using this week at the Honda Classic as a tune up going into the Masters. Woods struggled to make the cut and was able to launch a come back in his 3rd round, carding a 5 under par 65.

Today in his final round Woods shot a 40 on the front nine. He completely imploded in the final round of the Honda Classic. Woods played terrible before completely withdrawing from the tournament due to back pain.

Woods started his day in 20th place. He was 7 shots back. he had 4 bogeys and a double on his front nine in the final round. Woods then went on to play the back side and made 4 pars in a row.

Then he called it a day and said he was withdrawing from the tournament due to back pain. If Woods is suffering with back pain, what will this do for his chances to compete at Augusta?

Tiger needed this tune up round to get his game under control and with the way he started his final round, it looks as though he can use all the work he can get.

I’m a little surprised with the way Woods withdrew from the tournament. He was actually playing better on his final back nine.
