Don’t tell Tiger Woods it never rains in California. It did today and Woods took advantage of the soft conditions at Torrey Pines. Tiger carded a neat little 7 under par 65 on the south course today. He had a score card with 2 bogeys, one double bogey, 6 birdies and one eagle to end his day with the 65 and a combined score of -11 to give him a 2 stroke lead over his closest competitor who at the time of this article was Billy Horschel who was at -9.

Tiger Woods has put himself in great shape to play on the weekend. He loves Torrey Pines and won there 7 times before plus a U.S. Open Victory in 2008. Woods just may be back this season. I know it is still early and he has plenty of golf left. One thing is, Tiger seemed to have hit the ball better today. He left his driver everywhere but in the fairway yesterday. It will be interesting to see how he does on the weekend. Woods has struggled trying to put 4 god rounds together over the past couple of years. Lets wait before we hand him the check, shall we?
